I took a sip of
my coffee. I saw his face looking at me while smiling so bright. It seemed he
had pulled all of his soul. He held my hand, touched my palm gently, I tinkled
for awhile. I giggled at myself, how I could give up easily accepting his love
again.
“Why?” he asked.
“Do you really happy be by my side again?” he smirked.
“What?” I acted
angry, “not really.” I continued.
“Oh really?
After what we did this morning?” He stared at me, in a funny way.
“What we did
this morning… well, actually what we had done this morning?” I smirked, and
gulped down my coffee. “I don’t think we really make out.” I said made him
cough.
“What are you
girl… ah babooo, so you want more
tonight?” he said while feed me the cheese cake. “I willingly do it.” He laughed.
“Hyaaaaa….!” I
patted his hand, “by the way how did you come to my place? You haven’t told me.”
Yeah, I needed to know how he could come to my place when I’m fully hangover.
“Junhyung told
me.” He said, “He met me in the place we used to hang out together.”
“Club.” I said,
cut his words.
“Ehm… kind of…
yes..,” he said, nervous, “it was because I saw you with him…”
“In front of the
lift,” I cut his words again.
“Yes.” He sighed,
“I got so frustrated. I took my car, and I went to the club.”
I nodded. “Araseo.” I said, “Did you know… I cried…
right after the lift door closed?” I asked.
“Ehm.” He nodded.
“Junhyung told me everything.”
“How come he
told you everything? I thought he confessed to me last night…” that was what I
could recall before I got so drunk. “He said, he liked me… then… what happened…
ehmm…” I thought so hard but I just couldn’t remember.
“You rejected
him.” Dujun said while sipping his coffee. “You said, ‘you can’t date any guy
in this world’ then you drank bottles of soju. Junhyung couldn’t stop you
though he tried so hard.”
I blushed, that
was so embarrassing story. “Did I really do that?” I asked. Dujun nodded right
away. “What happened next?” I felt so curious.
“You started
talk about me, how you miss me, how you want to spend the rest of your life
with me… you were sobbing and moaning.” He took a breath. “Junhyung was being a
listener last night.” He laughed. “You did really drink a lot last night, huh?”
My cheeks
blushed. “I don’t remember.” I answered him. “Ehm… so I said such things.”
“Yeah, you said
those things. When finally you collapsed, Junhyung texted me, and met me.” He held
his breath, “at first I wanted to punch him, but his face was as desperate as
me, then I decided to listen what he wanted to explain.”
“Ehm?”
“Before I couldn’t
think the right or wrong, I had been on my car, and went to your place. Luckily
you haven’t changed the door password.” He smiled, “Which is my birthday date.”
Dujun giggled.
“Lucky you then.”
“Junhyung also
told me that… you also told him when you drunk…” he paused his sentence, “that
you can’t date any guy because you have hemophilia.”
I coughed. I
tried to clean my mouth, but it failed because my hands trembled, and my body
tensed up. “I…,” I looked at Dujun’s face that suddenly got so serious, “So
this is what you mean… you have known everything?”
“Yes.” He kissed
my palm, “it happened Junhyung knew it first, but it’s not a matter for me.”
“What should I
do Dujun-ahh… if I leave you… first.” I got teary. “I have moved to LA this past
year to avoid meeting you. It’s because I do not want to hurt you. But, now why
we must reunite again?” I shed tears.
“Uljima.” He said. “You are still Miinah
that I will always love and cherish.”
“But I won’t
live longer than…,”
“I don’t want to
hear.” He stopped my lips saying that terrible thing by feeding me a spoonful cheese
cake. “After you finished the cake, let’s sightseeing the market!” He smiled. I
nodded. His thumbs crushed my cheeks, and wiped my tears away.
---
“So… the reason
you always can’t stop the blood when you get cut…,” Dujun talked to me as we
walking around the market, “because of your disease.” I nodded.
“I can’t tell
you. No. I do not want.” I said. “That’s why I can’t get injured because it may
cause the blood bleeding and it will always hard to stop.” I sighed.
“But, I always
see you bleeding. And I just don’t want you get cut or injured. I don’t know
you have hemophilia. Babo me.” He
stared at me, lingered his right hand to my shoulder tighter. “I am sorry.” He whispered.
I shook my head. I tightened my hug to him.
“No. You are not
at fault.” I said, “You think I can date you when you know that I’m sick…
besides, we need to handle the news of our relationship…?”
“Miinah-ahh,
whatever happened after this, do not leave me, araseo?” Dujun held my left hand, I could feel his fingers on mine.
I nodded. “I won’t.” I whispered. “I will leave when God have called me.”
“Sssst…” Dujun
didn’t look at me, he just whispered, and led me in the crowd. I could see
his back… his shoulders… which were up and down. I knew he tried hard to not
cry right now. I hugged his back. I didn’t care if we were actually in the
middle of crowded market.
“I love you.” I
whispered to his back.
