EG: Due to the K-Pop wave, you guys are holding activities in various
places around the world, which member has the best adaptability
overseas? The one who fits in best with unfamiliar places, unfamiliar
people.
DJ: I felt this in New York, but Dongwoon’s friendliness is really
amazing. Especially since his English isn’t that great, probably because
he looks like a foreigner/exotic?
EG: Is there a special reason for filming the music video overseas?
DJ: Actually, to film a music video in New York, it’s not easy for any
artiste. We plucked up lots of courage (to do this). It reflected lots
of the members’ suggestions/thoughts. As compared to a man-made set, it
seems to be a lot better to film in a place with great background.
EG: What do you think are the reasons that fans of the various countries
like you for? Hyunseung, who we’ve met with last month, replied with
“Honestly, I don’t know.”.
DJ: It’s because of Yoseob. A large portion of our overseas fans are Yoseob’s fans.
EG: Tomorrow (July 11th) is the 1000th day since Beast’s debut. How are you feeling?
DJ: Senior Lee Seung Hwan’s “For thousand days” comes to mind.
BEAST: -sings together- For thousand days~~
EG: The audience can only see Beast who is on stage, but in fact there
were many assisting backstage. Looking back, who are the ones you’d like
to thank the most?
DJ: We thank those who have put in hardwork for us, but in fact, the six
of us have put in the most and tried our best. Got to acknowledge what
needs to be acknowledged.
EG: Having been together for a thousand days, can you understand each
other through exchanging gazes? Or are do you still get surprised by
different sides of the members?
DJ: Getting surprised by discovering something we didn’t know…. There
hasn’t been any since 2 years ago. Just by looking at everyone’s
expressions, we should know what they’re thinking of.
EG: Based on appearances, each has his own style/character, how did you develop such teamwork?
DJ: Yes, we’re really different. But we became similar, from our
thoughts to our constitution/behaviour. Hyunseung became a little
dirtier/messier, I became neater, it’s like we were fitting to reach an
equilibrium. (laughs)
EG: But, won’t you want to have your own time, own secrets as well?
DJ: That’s right. If we talk about it together, we get thoughts that we wouldn’t have thought of.
EG: Is there a cheer that you guys do before going on stage?
DJ: No matter which stage, we must do it. However, it must only be done once.
EG: Do you express your feelings for each other well? Such as thank you, cherishing each other etc.
DJ: For guys, we do it a lot.
EG: Cube Entertainment’s artistes have increased. Are they fickle with money?
DJ: So it’ll be good if they cared for us more (laughs). As compared to the time when we debut, BTOB has it much easier.
EG: When you get busy and more popular, there are things that you
lose/neglect. Are there any things that you ponder regarding yourself
or your family/friends?
DJ: I think we have slightly passed the period whereby we’ve pondered a
lot. It was difficult until last year, and seem to have found the
solution the best I could. If I can’t meet my friends, then I’ll get my
friends to meet me where I am.
EG: Curious as to how do each of you relieve stress or recharge yourself. How about Yoseob?
DJ: Like those housewives, watching lots of television.
EG: So how about Doojoon and Kikwang? Doojoon likes sports right?
DJ: Yes, I play soccer often, I’m interested in wrestling/boxing recently so I try out my skills on Yoseob.
YS: Cracking joints (into position). Trying things like Jiu-jitsu on me
and asks if it’s painful. It’s painful even if the hand
brushes/touches..
KK: No matter what I need to move. I feel suffocated if I’m indoors, so
I’ll try to get out wherever. If I’ve no one to meet, I’ll watch
varieties alone and laugh. I’m an Infinite Challenge fan.
JH: Perhaps that’s why Kikwang does well on varieties. The Kikwang we know is a quiet kid, but he speaks well on programmes.
DJ: He’s been a Win-Win MC for two years and counting. It’ll be good if he can continue being active in future.[They talked about Dujun alot, I share it all]
EG: Tomorrow is Hyunseung’s first performance for the musical Mozart. Did you invite your members?
DJ: Yes. But it seems like we’ve seen the entire show. To the extent we can memorise the song.
BEAUTY fellas, and probably you guys (BEAST) if you read this lol *non stop fangirling*, thank you so much for reading and appreciating my review (BEAST'S MIDNIGHT MV REVIEW: 'NYC IS NOT JUST A PLACE'). This review I wrote becoz I feel so deep in love with BEAST and I can't stand still seeing how the boys were put on the corner. I hope it helps us (and haters or other people or other fandoms) to appreciate the hard work of the 6 boys. I feel so touched becoz many people (BEAUTY I'm sure) reading it and trying to spread it to everyone around them :''D thank you. This is yours guys, this statistic is yours (click to enlarge):
Oh OK, I can't help but to write this. Extremely can't control it because my hands just start typing it. LOL. So, as you know, BEAST had already released the very short MV of 'Midnight' this noon at 2PM KST. Finally, yeah, BEAUTY? This can be called as theme MV of the mini album. In other words, this is the way BEAST introduce themselves to the industry that they are back.
First, here below the one minute and sixteen seconds MV: BEAST'S MIDNIGHT THEME MV - B2ST OFFICIAL (click the link it directly on BEAST' YouTube channel). Sorry something happened with my blog that I can't make the video appear here. T----T
Well, as I said before that this is a comeback introduction from these 6 boys to the music industry (K-pop and world wide), the MV also gives strong impression about this. And also, about 'why the boys went to NYC (US) to filming the MV?' and that thingy 'They are copying Big Bang!' the answer is completely NO. BIG NO, guys. They went there with certain purpose. Well, I'm going to reveal what I got from this very well thought and thorough MV.
In this MV, we have watched such dominant color, yellow, if your eyes can see. In the beginning of the MV when the piano sound begins the song as intro, the setting of place are buildings in a yellowish color feel-like because of the effect of the sun light. And then the 'ding ding ding' piano is like the sound of traffic light when the light turn 'red' for the car and 'green' for the pedestrian, you know what I mean, the signal that people can across the road using the zebra crossing (zebra cross). And at this time, the camera shot the traffic light which the symbol of hand appeared there, like this one:

But, in this MV they shot the back of this traffic light where there is these words "12ozProphet". Well, first, this scene is sure very important, it's like an abstract of paper if I may say. Thus, this is where actually the main idea of this MV being revealed. We can't see the hand sign and the walking-people sign on that traffic light, right? But, they shot the walking of people (the three American girls on the zebra cross) and after that we can see our boys walked in the street along with the guitar sounds. It helps so much to make the relevance between the 'ding ding' of piano and the traffic light and of course the walking of people. Besides, the "12ozProphet" revealed the setting place that they are in NYC. Well, this because "12ozProphet" (1993) is a graffiti related magazine and the crews are now in NYC.
I'm going to interpret this first. Oh yeah, this is getting interesting, right? Well, why I put the concern on the traffic light pole? Because of this yellow color (and some other colors) in this MV are like everywhere and sure dominant and also take the majority of the MV. And this is the reason why the boys chose to shoot it in NYC. Well, because this yellow color can be only seen in NYC (from many sources). And, there's no yellow traffic light plank in Korea. I realized this after watching PSY's 'Gangnam Style' MV (the scene where he across the road and the traffic light plank is black). Thus I can take that conclusion. I'm not wrong, right? So, BEAST is not trying to copy anyone's concept. It is because yellow has significance symbol meaning in this MV. Yellow in western is identified as the color of summer. Well, actually it's summer now, rite? Besides, yellow also can be seen as joy or delight, and even a sunshine symbolization. Well, after all, this mini album entitled 'MIDNIGHT SUN'. I'm sure right. On the other hand, for the meaning of the traffic light itself, yellow can be meant as 'slow down' or 'be careful'. Do you get my point? All of these scenes revealed before the boys walking scene appeared. This means: 'this summer (when the sun brightly shine lol, there will be joy or delight, so slow down (be careful) everyone, cause we (BEAST) are coming'.
Then after that scene where the boys walked on the road, the camera caught the traffic light again which turned 'green' means 'go' for the cars, motors, trucks, and taxis. Then a truck appeared walking by the intersection which carries these words on it: 'ACTION: carting the environmental'. Well, it sure has deep meaning. Green, on the other hand, has the meaning of nature, eternal life, and environment. Then this make sense, why out of blue the truck appeared there, lol. This scene is the way they want to say that: 'Here we are coming. Gonna take action and cart (carry) all the natural world or your surrounding in our vehicle (oh well, it can be said as their music, right?)'.
Oh well, the next part is the scene where the bicycle and the skateboard can be seen in the yellow line. Do you know what does yellow line mean? According to Encarta (2009), yellow line is street marking indicating parking restriction which the parking is allowed only in limited period or specific time. While bicycle itself has the meaning of 'toward future' (http://www.copenhagenize.com/2012/03/bicycle-symbolism-towards-future.html) and the way the bicycle moved from the left to the side it can be seen as heading to the future (read the link). Besides, the skateboard itself some said that it has the meaning of strong and cool because it is made from wood.
Thus, from all of this, I can say that: 'The boys gonna make action and influence us with their song which is heading to the future and strong, although it's on the limited period.' Then the boys captured once again walking on the street like a boss, while the yellow taxi (cab) across the street which carried: "OPENING ACT" and the silhouette of sunshine beautifully shot. Oh well, sun is the 'beginning of the day' plus the 'opening act', means the boys are ready heading to the future to conquer the environment (or the world). It also makes sense if they want to conquer the world then they went to US, they can't only stay in Korea anyway. Oh, and the yellow cab, still carried the meaning of 'be aware' lol. The taxi went around the NYC gave warning about the boys' comeback. lol.
After those scenes are the individual cuts of the boys. Well, this is a must to show off who the boss is now. LOL. The feeling is something like that? >www< and if we pay attention to the plank behind them, that means 'stop' and the arrow give the indication that 'you can't go there'. It means that part is dangerous or probably the obstacles that the boys had been trough all this time. We (BEAUTY) can't go there because we gonna (just) follow the joy part of the boys gonna bring for us in this limited period, the summer time! Besides that 'stop' can be meant as 'start' too, oh well, you 'stop' at that point, but you may 'start' at that point too. This a life is. So, I'm trying to say that our relationship with BEAST is eternal.
In conclusion, this MV is saying that: "BE CAREFUL (YELLOW), HERE (RED), WE ARE BACK (GREEN)!" and hope it explains that BEAST went to NYC with this certain purpose thus the MV can look extremely good, all scenes had been put in order, not just randomly put there.
Well, among all theme MV owned by BEAST, this one is the best. Put aside that Dujun's part is just a little. LOL. Jigeum Gaji SO BEAST!

I love this song, sounds so good in my ears (and hearts), the piano, guitar, shuffle feel, and electro at once. This heartbreaking song is delivered well by the boys, even their voices blend sure-very-well. But, the fact they used Rado's voice (beauty, you know who I mean) to hit the high note as a backing sound in Seob's part at 3:20 makes me shallow a bitter fact. I want just the boys kill all it through. Thus, I hope no more Rado's voice in 5 other songs of this mini album. CROSS MY FINGER. And yess! Dujun's part at 3:04 with the guitar.... that killed me. My husband's voice killed me. >wwww<

According to Encarta (2009), Midnight Sun is sun visible at midnight at pole. It means the sun when it is visible from within the arctic or antarctic circles at midnight during their respective summer months.
BEAST will comeback at 2012/07/22. Yesterday on Hangout session with BEAST in their Google+ page Dujun announced that they will make their comeback on July 22nd through Inkigayo. And now, the news dropped out that their album gonna be named "Midnight Sun". Thus they will release 6 songs on the same day.
I feel so happy right now. Why? Because Dujun will appear in Running Man special episode of Olympic Games. LOL. What I really want happens, Dujun in Running Man. RUNNING MAN. My favorite reality show ever! Kyaaa Kyaaa. *Please stop me, stop me, for over exciting by myself!*
Dujun will appear with six other idols. They are Super Junior's Eunhyuk, MBLAQ's Lee Joon, CNBlue's Yong Hwa, ZE:A's Si Wan (my fav too, lol), 2PM's Nichkhun, and T-Ara's Eunjung. It seems like they are being set as the idol version of Running Man. I dunno if they have the same personalities like Running Man members or not. HAHAHA. Just imagine it makes me laugh. LOL.
Besides this is a picture of them. Look, Dujun is exhausted but handsome! Oh, I can't wait to watch it. My heart is beating so fast right now.

This has the similarity with my previous post LOL ([PIC] DUJUN AND A BOTTLE OF WATER) becoz this is the video version. I'm laughing rite now. There are many people out there really have same taste with me. This world is funny (well, ignore me!).
I LOVE THIS ONE! IT HAS THE FEELING THAT HE IS A HUMANLY HUMAN. DUJUN AND A BOTTLE OF WATER. I WANT HIM TO EAT MOUNTAINS OF RICE BUT I LOVE THE FACT HE DRINKS BOTTLES OF WATER. WATER IS A FRIEND OF RICE. AND HIS TIRED EXPRESSION MAKES ME RELIEVE THAT HE IS NOT A SUPERMAN. FORTUNATELY.
