[MV REVIEW] 2PM'S 'COMEBACK WHEN YOU HEAR THIS SONG': 7 DEADLY SINS

Wow, another good MV I see (jump jump jump!). Can you guess whose song for now? 2PM! yeasseu. TWO-PI-EM. Finally 2PM is back. I am not an Hottest. But, back then (before I stick to BEAST) I did listen and watched their songs and variety shows. So, even when they have a comeback schedule I will still keep updating hehe (I even watched their PV kekeke). My sister too loves 2PM so freaking much, that she won't give me the video for free. She was insisting me to watch the video on their official channel (I see being hard core is cute thing to do kekeke *reflection of me*) thus here I am watching the MV and going 'woaaah, good idea for an MV and nice story line connecting with the lyric'. I like it so much. By the way, I won't give comment of their vocals and music qualities. Admit it, how far we expect 2PM to be, they will sound like 2PM, as always. So yeah, this song because being sung by 2PM indeed it is so 2PM. (Okay, I'm suck on explaining about song -what I am trying to say is THIS IS GOOD SONG- hahah).

Guys, do you have any idea why I like this song? Anyone realizes what this MV trying to unveil? Ehm... You see, there are in total seven people in this MV. Well, the girl, and the six members of 2PM (Chansung, Nickhun, Wooyoung, Junho, Junsu, and Taecyeon). Each of them presents what people called as seven deadly sins.

What is seven deadly sins? According to Urban Dictionary, seven deadly sins are seven basic sins: pride, lust, greedy, sloth, gluttony, wrath, and envy. Well, as you can see, if you may take a look once again and pay close attention to the MV you will see those words written there. Each of the casts also reflects each of the deadly sins.

The first to appear is the girl wearing the PRIDE necklace. Pride is identified as a desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to acknowledge the good work of others, and excessive love of self. Pride is usually described as original and most serious of the seven deadly sins, and the source of the others. Well, as we all can see the girl has abandoned the necklace and throw away the PRIDE. It means she gives in. And, with this, the MV begins, as the representation of the other sin will follow behind.

The second one is Chansung who happens on top of the girl (KYAAK OMG MAKNAE-YAH *--*). The girl (without the PRIDE of course) tries to back off (you can see, right, she tries fufufu lol) but she fails. And, Chansung turns the lamp off while the LUST appears. Lust is the need to fulfill unspiritual desires (not just sexual desires, but this is usually what lust is associated with). But, the girl happens to leave him alone.

The third one is the appearance of Nickhun (KYAAK OPPA-YAAH I MISS YOU HOHO) with the girl in a beautiful place for having nice dinner. But, Nickhun gets a phone call: GREED COMPANY. I assume that means GREEDY. Well, Nickhun leaves the girl and accept the phone. Greedy is wanting too much of something.Nickhun is the type of man who is workaholic. Even when he is with his girlfriend, he still wants to keep contact with his company. With this, the girl leaves him alone.

The fourth one is Wooyoung (TOSHIOOO~ who remember his Toshio resemblance? hahah). Wooyoung with his grand piano, throw the music sheet which the SLOTH appears. Sloth is being too slow or lazy at doing something. But by the 17th century, the exact deadly sin referred to was believed to be the failure to utilize one's talents and gifts. That is Wooyoung's position in this MV, he abandons the girls talent which I assume the girl is behalf on the lyricist. It makes the conflict between him and the girl happen. In the end, the girl leaves him alone.

The fifth one is Junho (my fav member tbh heheh). He has the scene with the girl in a bar where he drinks and the GLUTTONY appears on the bottle. The girl tries to reach him, but he ignores her. In result, the girls leaves him alone. Gluttony is the action of taking too much of something in. It can be also the act or practice of eating and drinking to excess. Well, pretty much makes sense with the scene.

The sixth is Jun.K oppaaa (I love your beautiful nose!^^)  who appears in the car with the girl. They get out from the car, has a freaking fight. And, tadaaa~ after slapping him, the girl leaves him alone. In the car, the word written in the number plate is WRATH. It means vindictive anger; angry revenge.

The last person to appear is Taecyeon (hoaaaa, his body is no joke!^^bb).  He comes out from a door and sees the girl with another man. He feels jealous and disturbs them by taking the phone (probably that man tries to get the girl's phone number kkk). And, there, you see, on the board: ENVY. This sin is jealousy; wanting to have what someone has. So, with that, the girls leave him because it has angered her.

Well, I have told you one by one of the deadly sins each members plus the girls represent. It can be concluded from the beginning of the MV when the girl gives in her PRIDE, the other sins come out and causes problem in her life (and of course the life of the men she happens to date). Every sins appear in the MV show us the reasons why this song can be created, the song of regret -COMEBACK WHEN YOU HEAR THIS SONG while the lyric kind of I AM SORRY, PLEASE COMEBACK.

In conclusion, the seven deadly sins have been the cause of the girl leaves them all. This MV tries to give us the portrayal of the cause and effect which is without we realize it every of us have these sins on us. Or in other words, please watch what you do before the one you love leave you alone!

Good luck for 2PM and Hottest. I write this post because I do find this MV interesting and hehe finally I have successfully released my stress. Then, see you on another review of good MV ^^vv

  1. Why? Why? There is lack of comments here!? Another interesting insights by you, as always. Well, the fact that the words appeared clearly on the MV really suggest the viewers the 7 deadly sins notion. Are they trying to appeal to European fanbase?
