[FF] 비스트 의 하늘 / THE BEAST'S SKY: The Falling Sky

This night was the gloomiest one. The darkness came along with the wild win that swooshed the trees which stood in front of a big house. The owner of the house was not around. There left a Madam and her daughter who were pretending and acting to be the real owners while a girl in her room waiting for the real master got home. The real master was none other than her Dad. The girl sat on the bang of the window, watched the moon which seemed looking back at her, shared the pity. Her Dad had married again –months ago her Mom had passed away– with a beautiful woman who brought a daughter whom she thought as awful one. Since the first day after the marriage, she had suffered a lot because of the new Mom and her beloved daughter asked her to run errand every time they saw a chance. She couldn’t get rid of them because Dad was not at home. He was away because of some overseas business.
Dad owned a big company which worked on entertainment industry. It was a lot like an agency. He had been a CEO for a long time. Many artists who were under his company had succeeded and decided to get their own ways in the industry. On the other hand, Dad would always have new stocks of young trainees who came to get the chance to practice under his company and dreamed big to be born as the next stars. Korea of course was very well known with its Idols and the never stopping production of new dancing machine idols, new impersonating idols, new powerful main vocal idols, new great rapping idols, etc. Dad would have never gotten bankrupt. She knew very well the reason that woman seduced and luckily got married to her Dad was none other than Dad’s bank accounts. Well, materialized by capitalist society, people now. Weren’t they? The girl left a big sigh before finally realizing there was a couple of eyes watched her over the gate of the front yard.
“Who is that?” She asked in a low voice. She could see a shadow-figure-like moved fast to the one of the tree on the side of the road and raised the hands. The girl tried to get better vision because there was no lamp shone on that figure. “Dujunie?” The girl smiled by herself. Her eyes widened when reckoned who the owner of those couple of eyes was. She walked faster to the door that linked her room with the porch and ran to the stairs which could bring her to the yard in no time. Walked through the green grass her Dad loved to water it every evening and opened the gate in a flash light speed, she got to the man’s embrace in second.

[FANFIC] GOOD BYE TO ROMANCE 11

THE SHOES GIRL

“I am going to meet you tomorrow, Hae Seo-ahh.” I was talking to Hae Seo through the phone after I had my phone finally. Ahjussi had bought me one so I could contact everyone I wanted. “Mian, I am not able to contact you these days.”
Araseo! I will wait for you. Eomma will cook something nice for you tomorrow, Jae In!” Her voice heard so cheerful made me happy. “She missed you a lot too.”
“Ah geurae? Ah gomawooo. Okay, see you tomorrow. Annyeong~~” I said while hung the phone. I laid my back on the bed while seeing the ceiling. I let some breathe. There, I saw Dujun’s face. I shook my head tried to erase his face on the ceiling. But he was just staying there still. I sighed. “What are you, Yoon Dujun? What are you?” I mumbled as I closed my eyes.

THE PAST

Have you ever felt like being a prisoner in an unknown place? It feels so uneasy and every time you want to breathe, you just can’t. You have been trapped in four walls of darkness. There is no way out. You can’t see a door nor window nor a slight alley way. You fold your legs and hug them tight while closing your eyes and thinking of an escape way. But, the thing comes to your mind is none other than, death.

[FANFIC] GOOD BYE TO ROMANCE 09

UISA OPPA

‘Yah you know … one night stand …’
I didn’t have any idea how came this words kept repeating on my mind like a non-stop song on a playlist. What was so wrong with you, Jae In? I sighed as I looked at the scenery along the road. Grandma called me earlier was not trying to ask me where I stayed last night. But, she ordered me to visit dad at the hospital. Finally the day has come, I thought. But, my mind kept flying to Hyunseung’s words ‘yah you know … one night stand …’ instead. I sighed, covered my face with my palms. Why do I still get my mind busy thinking over not-supposed-to-be-my-business?
Agasshi, it’s here.” Ahjussi’s voice brought me back to the earth. “This is the hospital.”
“Oh geurae…” I peeked at the building in front of me, when ahjussi open the car door for me. “Kajaa, ahjussi.” I said. I walked as confident as I could.

LOST

“Jae In-ahh …”
“Eommaaaa …”
“Jae In-ahh …”
“Eommaaaa …”
I felt like mom hugged me tightly while ruffled my hair. It was so warm and full of love. I missed her already. But, no matter how much I wanted to see her face, I just couldn’t see it. Her face was so blur in my eyes.
“Eommaaaa …” I kept calling her. “Hhh …”
“Why is your fever so high?” Someone whispered on to my ear, but that was not mom’s voice. There was no way my mom’s voice sounded like a man’s. “Why can’t you stop sweating?” I knew this voice well, slightly I opened my eyes. Came to my sight was a board chest of someone; I tried to see the face of its owner which was surprising me because he was none other than Yoon Dujun. Yoon Dujun? He hugged me tight. I didn’t have any idea how this situation could happen. I didn’t remember anything. I could feel that I was in a bed, a very warm one with blanket over my body. Slowly I remembered that last night, I met the Jang family, Hyunseung, BEAST, Gayoon … and I got drunk. I shut my eyes. Why being like this was so comfortable? Mian, Yoon Dujun, just for awhile, for awhile, let me stay like this.

[FANFIC] GOOD BYE TO ROMANCE 07

THE RED HAIR GUY

It was not just I didn’t know who they were but also I didn’t know I had this kind of family. Mom just told me that she got divorced from dad when I was in my grade 5. Yeah, I could accept it. Then when I asked about dad’s family, she would say ‘don’t feel curious about them unless you want to see me die’ then the conversation ended right away. I too, didn’t really care with the real reason of their choice to get divorced. To think about that just made me dizzy and I would have fever every time I tried to remember what had happened before I found myself woke up in a room in Ilsan.

SOUTH KOREA

Incheon Airport. This was Incheon. Incheon. Incheon. Incheon. I kept repeating this word as if I was spelling a curse. I had done taking my luggage and stuff, getting ready to get out from the gate, when I saw him; that Dujun guy put everything which could cover his face. He wore a hat, a mask, and black sunglasses. I giggled seeing him like that. How pity he was. In Jakarta he was so free like a bird, now in here, he looked like a ghost afraid of the sun shine. He looked at me that made me walk quickly. I wanted to disappear from his sight. I tried to walk fast among people who walked at the same gate, but I didn’t know my shoes laces were not properly tied. I didn’t have any idea how I could fall among the crowd. Akkk, this was such embarrassment that I never once imagined. People started to pay attention on me, when I tried to stand on my knees. A hand held my arm tightly. I saw the owner of this hand. The first thing I could see was the red hair. Red. His hair was red. But, his eyes were like those puppy’s eyes, so cute and warm at the same time. His face was also handsome, and his lips looked like a girl’s lips. I felt amazed seeing his face because I could see he was also beautiful.

[FANFIC] GOOD BYE TO ROMANCE 05

THE DREAM

Lucky me, Dujun was not seating next to me. How lucky I was, again, none sat beside me. This was the best since I didn’t really like having a chat with the passenger next to me, which I usually would have done it just in the name of maintaining good manner. More than that, I didn’t really have enjoyed it. So, here, I was alone, flied to South Korea for twelve hours to go. Sounded so interesting. Yeah, I could read some books which I needed to finish it by the end of this month. I had this habit to make list of books I needed to read. Yeah, I was Jane, the bookworm, Soo Ah had said. Soo Ah. Once my mind flied to her name, I felt extremely happy. I was gonna meet her again after four years apart. I missed her so much. She was the only friend I could rely on, even until now. I had imagined coming to her home, meet Heo family, and had a proper greeting. I smiled just by imagining it. That family was so warm. Every time I visited them I always could smell the rice being cooked or the comfortable pillows. It was slightly different with my own home. Besides, I loved seeing Soo Ah’s oppa read book in his private library. That private library was the most romantic place I had ever seen entire my life. Brown was the dominant color, there was a couch in the middle of it, while the rack full of books. Hae Bum was two years older than us. At that time he looked so cool, clever, and so manly. Like glue, I had clung to him since middle school until I graduated from high school and moved to Indonesia. At that time he had already been in medical school. I felt so curious, how was him now? If only Dujun never once meddled …

[FANFIC] GOOD BYE TO ROMANCE 04

THE FLIGHT

This was a very cold morning of Jakarta. I held my jacket, and zipped it. But, the wind kept coming over. And, I could feel it touched my cheeks. Indeed cold. It was probably because this dawn the rain had poured really hard. I eyed the Monas. What am I doing here? I tried to make my sense back. But, I just couldn’t do it, when ‘he’ was standing right beside me.
“This is cold. How about we back to the hotel?” I suggested. “And I’ll drive you to the airport at noon.” I added, looked at him for awhile.
“This is what you called as sight-seeing this morning?” He pointed to the Monas. “To see this?” He said. “I better got going with my group last night then.” He mumbled.
“Then, why yesterday, your Prof asked me to guide all of you while last night Prof Son and the others had the flight?” I frowned. He indeed had the talent to make me mad. “And, you, why you still here? You could go with them last night. Why? I am asking you.”
“Do I need to tell you?” He whispered. “But, who are you to let me tell you my reason, huh?”

[FANFIC] GOODBYE TO ROMANCE 03

THE GAME

The seminar hall was the biggest one in this university. I smiled to myself as knowing I had worked hard for this seminar. I eyed the people who slowly fulfilled the hall. They sat on the chairs which my friends and I had set yesterday. Many professors and their students came from various universities around the world, but I put interest more to the local professors and students. I like seeing Indonesians. It was especially because they had different appearances since they came from many races. This was so different with Koreans whose skins all had the similar tone color. I got bored easily living there. But, thanks to God, I had not so bright skin, because my mom was a Javanese, one of races found in Indonesia. The skin color of Javanese women was the best I had ever seen, exotic, and sexy. Indonesians called it as sawo-matang, you know, it was brown, but not dark, and beautiful. I had inherited that, but I also had gifted with the look of Korean, I had mono eyelid, pointed nose, and the best jaw line that many girls would kill to have it. But still, many people picked me because I was slightly different.

[FANFIC] GOOD BYE TO ROMANCE 02

-The Unwanted Meeting-

“Are you sure?”
“Yes, one hundred percent sure.”
“This is crazy.”
“What? Hyaa, Soo Ah, of course this is beyond crazy.”
“I mean, I swear, yesterday I watched BEAST still had music program.”
“So?”
“They are still promoting their new album!”
“What is the relation with me?”
“Hyaa, baboyaa[1], this means Dujun is not supposed to be there!”
Mwo? Jinjja?[2]

[FANFIC] GOOD BYE TO ROMANCE 01

-Holy Shit Monday-

The singing birds woke me up. I just slightly opened my eyes, and shut it back. This was really an extremely cold Monday. How was I supposed to go out? Oh yeah, that idiot old man asked me to replace him on his current job, screwed my day. I sighed, still cuddling under my warm blanket when I saw the watch on the table.
10:00
Oh it was ten in the morning. Ehm, okay.
Wait, what?
I stood up from my bed, and ran to the bathroom as fast as I could. Screwed me, holy shit! All of this started once that idiot old man suggested us to pick all the important guests of this seminar at the airport. Well, okay, I was his students, but how came a student risk her study time just to make him can rest on his very comfortable car? I hit the shower, almost like couldn’t feel the water at all, walked out from it, and wore my shirt quick.
“Idiot old man, you are going to pay me an arm and a leg.” I cursed, while watching myself on the mirror. “You are…” I looked at my face, “just so-so.” I exhaled as I took my bag and stirred the door knob. “Welcome, real world.” I said that when I could see the busy city of Jakarta once I stood in front of my so called house. Well, I need to arrive at Soeta at least an half of hour from now. I didn’t know this could be a very bad day for me. And this was just the beginning.
